1. The Olmsted

The Olmsted is our top Louisville KY wedding venue for photo and video. Two Victorian-era estates in Shelby Park (a Frederick Law Olmsted-designed park), full buyout for the day, ceremony on the south lawn or in the courtyard, and a ballroom that holds up to 350 seated. 2. Yew Dell Botanical Gardens

Yew Dell is the only botanical-garden wedding venue in the Louisville metro that allows full buyout. 33 acres in Crestwood (15 minutes from Louisville), castle, gardens, woodland trails, Gheens Barn, and the Mary F. 3. The Seelbach Hilton

The Seelbach is the historic downtown Louisville hotel where Al Capone stayed, and the rooftop is one of the best cinematic backdrops in the city. Two ballrooms (the Seelbach Ballroom up to 600 seated, the smaller Medallion up to 250), plus the rooftop for ceremony or cocktail hour. 4. The Brown Hotel

The Brown Hotel is the other historic Louisville wedding venue, built in 1923 and home of the Hot Brown sandwich. The Crystal Ballroom holds up to 350 seated, and the lobby + mezzanine are some of the best golden-hour photo backdrops in the city. 5. Ashbourne Farms

Ashbourne Farms is the luxury barn venue just outside Louisville in LaGrange. 2,000 acres of Kentucky bluegrass, a 15,000-square-foot restored Show Barn, manicured event lawns, and an on-site culinary team. 6. Churchill Downs

Churchill Downs is the home of the Kentucky Derby and one of the most recognizable wedding venues in Kentucky. Multiple indoor/outdoor event spaces, paddock views, and the Derby Museum for photos. 7. Farmington Historic Home

Farmington is the Federal-style historic home on Bardstown Road, designed by Thomas Jefferson's architect Benjamin Latrobe. 300-person capacity, gardens, Carriage House, Pavilion, and on-site event planning. 8. Locust Grove

9. Whitehall Mansion

10. The Galt House

The Galt House is the largest hotel in Kentucky and runs the full Louisville wedding operation under one roof.
